Gabrielle Williams MP, Parliamentary Secretary for Health, Parliamentary Secretary for Carers & Volunteers, and Local Member for Dandenong officially opened our South East Regional office in Dandenong on Wednesday 25 October, 2017.
Gabrielle cut the red ribbon, dramatically lowered down from a car hoist, from inside our Hand Brake Turn car workshop! Our Chair, Jason McDonald spoke about the office marking our presence in the South East region as a way to showcase two of our flagship programs, Hand Brake Turn and Inside Out.
Local Councillors from the City of Greater Dandenong, Cr Angela Long and Cr Maria Sampey attended our event, along with Concern Australia Board, staff, volunteers and supporters.
Staff took guests on tours of our upstairs offices including showing off artwork designed by Hayden, one of our Inside Out Youth Workers. We also had Phil, a Hand Brake Turn student and Luke, a former Inside Out Lead Tenant and now a Senior Case Worker for Concern Australia talk about their experiences.
